Claire Anderson

Claire was born in Tampa, Florida. At Stanford University, she is a third-year Environmental Engineering Ph.D. Candidate in the Boehm Lab. Her research involves virus transmission and removal. She is specifically researching virus transfer rates and handwashing removal methods for enveloped viruses (like SARS-CoV-2 and influenza) and non-enveloped viruses (like norovirus). She is supported by the Stanford CEE Ph.D. Fellowship, the AAUW Women in Engineering Fellowship, and the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP). In her free time, Claire enjoys gardening and getting boba.
