Important Dates & Deadlines

• Applications for the 2026 program are due November 23rd, 2025 @ 11:59 pm PST
• The SERIS Program will be held tentatively from January 22nd to 24th, 2026 (Half day Thursday, All day Friday, Half day Saturday)
• Decisions will be announced by the end of December 2025. Decisions are made in conformance with the Supreme Court’s June 2023 ruling on affirmative action.

We are excited for our 5th iteration of the Stanford Engineering Research

Introductions (SERIS) Program in-person at Stanford University in January 2026. We also want to stress that participation in this program is 100% free/reimbursable. All travel, lodging, and meals will be funded by us! We strongly encourage applications from undergraduate students with two or more years left of college to apply.

Due to the changing academic landscape, this year's SERIS program will shift focus towards a higher proportion of students from schools located in California. We will still consider applications from out-of-state colleges. We also strongly encourage current Stanford undergraduates to apply.

Note 1: The application saves your responses each time you click onto the next page. Regardless, we recommend drafting your application answers in a separate document and then collectively attaching them onto the application when you are ready to submit.

Note 2: During our application review, we will discard any application that utilizes AI technologies (e.g., ChatGPT) to respond to any of our prompts. We seek to admit students that demonstrate conscious effort and enthusiasm to join our Program.
