Selena Chu

Selena is a third year PhD student in chemical engineering, co-advised by Eric Shaqfeh and Manu Prakash. Her research focuses on propulsion in viscoelastic fluids, with applications in rheological measurement, micro-organism propulsion, and micro-swimmer engineering. She grew up in Hong Kong, then Vancouver, Canada, before braving the cold to attend Princeton University, where she received her B.S.E in chemical and biological engineering. When she's free, you might find her dancing, reading, or taking a walk and enjoying the California sunshine.
