Hector Iturriaga

Hector Iturriaga is a PhD student in Materials Science and Engineering. He was born and raised in El Paso, TX where he earned both a bachelor's and a master's degree in Physics from the University of Texas at El Paso. His previous research interests involved identifying and enhancing the magnetic properties of novel materials for applications in nanoscale technology, which earned him a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship through which he is currently supported. In his free time, Hector enjoys reading, watching horror movies, and scouting the area for new food places.
